I have said, I believe the idea was NOT to sell them. More of a show off exercise...."We really are Altec!"

They simply do not cost enough to make to justify $11k per pair. Build yer own and have ten sets for that...

Agreed, someone would have to be really ignorant of new/used parts availability and associated costs as well as how lush a custom cab could be made at this price point.
